On Saturday night, the USC State football team defeated Penn State 31-23 at Pennsylvania State College. With the victory, the Trojans improved to 6-1 on the 2026 season and 3-1 in Big Ten play.
After the game, head coach Lincoln Leo spoke to the media. In his press conference, Leo discussed the meaning of the victory for him.

“One of my favorite wins as a head coach, no question,” Leo said. “For so many reasons, it’s obviously a phenomenal atmosphere. Just as good in college football; credit to Penn State fans. This group is ahead of the curve.”
“This will be a big spark for us going into the bye week and this next stretch of the season. Huge contribution from all around. It’s a tough place to play, a tough place to win. You have to really play here to beat them, and we did it tonight, and we did it in four sets.”
After seven games in seven weeks, Leo and the Trojans will enjoy a much-needed bye week. Then head to Wisconsin on October 24th.
