Jena Bishop avenged her previous loss to Liz Carmouche, pulled off a major upset and was crowned the new PFL women’s flying champion on Friday.
Carmouche and Bishop first fought in August 2025 at PFL Charlotte. Carmouche Bishop completed a wild first round to win the 2025 PFL Women’s Flyweight Championship. On Friday, at the Wintrust Arena, Bishop also defeated the former Warriors champion and UFC title challenger by unanimous decision.

Carmouche got a near stop in the first frame. That was followed by a series of connected punches with hammerfists on the ground that Bishop desperately tried to cover. The referee was seen almost entering.
When a fight broke out, Bishop was able to use his throwing and jiu-jitsu techniques to gradually take over the fight. In the third, Carmouche nearly submitted to a naked choke after pulling her to the canvas and pulling her back. Carmouche survived the last minute of the round in a bad position.
It was a contested period with all three judges scoring it 48-47 for Bishop.
