The Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens open Week 9 on “Friday Night Friday” with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 pm ET at M&T Bank Stadium.
The Jaguars (5-2) enter with a three-game lead in the AFC South behind quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who leads the league with a 112.6 passer rating and 8.6% touchdown rate. The Ravens (-4-4) are very different. Two-time MVP Lamar Jackson sat out the injured camp this week with a thumb injury and backup Tyler Huntley reportedly suffered a season-ending foot injury in Jackson’s relief last week. Joe Fagnano, Baltimore’s third-string quarterback, made his first start of the season Thursday.
Help appears to be on the way, as the Ravens have reportedly agreed to trade Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals for the veteran quarterback. Brissett lost his starting job after Gardner Minshew replaced him in the middle of Week 8 and Arizona moved to the Dallas Cowboys. He will get a fresh start in Baltimore once the deal is official.
