Yeah, the whole point of this piece is to give you what I think are literally the ten best college football tackles against the spread, with a few highs thrown in if they seem pretty far off. We have a few laughs, sometimes kills, and then we go.
This week is different.
Like a typical DJ set, you want to start big, build up with a few ebbs and flows, and then when the time is right… BAM. Big drops behind the crowd on the way. This week? No way. Total bangers from start to finish, every time, no rest.
Now let’s get some fun.
The result is therefore: 61-44

Now, before we get into it, I’d be remiss if I didn’t keep a bit going – Dog’s Duplicate Digit Home.
I to think We are done with this now – this is the time of year when we all refocus. However, they went 4-1 last week, and after Toledo (-25.5) beat Sacramento State on Wednesday night, and Ohio (-12.5) fell to Posson 28-20, the DDHDs are doomed – even though James Madison hit a home run on Thursday.
So, from the Just Sayin’ Department… Colorado State +17.5 vs. Boise State, Georgia Tech +14.5 vs. Louisville, New Mexico State +17.5 vs. Liberty. Keep your eyes on these three.

I know… I know. I promised you nothing but College Playoffs-level reads, but 1) I have a prodigious love for this that makes no sense – like the CFP election for Alabama – and 2) it’s a Friday game, so I wanted to get it out of the way fast.
I’ve seen these two play in every game this season, and I can’t get over how hard they work to score these two points.
Three of Illinois’ last four games weren’t even close to 51, and one of them was against Maryland. (And the outlier was the odd game against Michigan State when the Illini defense left the building early).
Nebraska hasn’t scored more than 17 points in a game since the first weekend in October, and five of its last six games haven’t come anywhere near a combined 51 points.
(And, fiiiiiiine, if you want to get technical with me and want all ten spikes to be about the College Football Playoff teams, I’d like Cincinnati to cover Houston -10.5.)

You are a serious, sincere person, looking for a serious and sincere analysis. And for this reason I ask that you move on to the next question, because what I am about to tell you has no basis in anything but a stupid tenor of logic. However, if I stick to my strict never, ever, ALWAYS mess with the rod design, I’ll be furious if the shape holds and I won’t do this. You have been warned there.
Oklahoma is on a crazy win-loss-loss streak and it goes back to last year.
The 2025 season closed with an LSU win, followed by a loss to Alabama. In the first eight games of this year, a win at UTEP, a loss at Michigan, a win at New Mexico, a loss at Georgia, a win at Texas, a loss at Kentucky, a win at Mississippi State, a loss at South Carolina.
I know for a fact that nothing about this is supernatural. For the most part, Oklahoma lost to better teams and beat the teams they stuck with. But they can slow down the rushers – even if they didn’t last week against South Carolina. Keep CFP No. 24 Florida from running, and you win.
Well, I’ll go faster.

If you press me to the actual ATS collect about this – I really I’m torn and I don’t like it, though – Texas -2.5.
CFP No. 18 Missouri is ultra-flaky this year when it comes to putting up points in games, but CFP No. 7 Texas was rock steady. The Longhorns have scored 244 points or more in every game but a 20-17 win over Tennessee, and are on an easy streak of blowing past 43 points in three straight games before Mississippi State’s team has snapped. At home, Mizzou will hang at least 20 on the board.

7. BYU and Utah
Line: Utah -4.5
Select ATS: Utah
– Game Preview and Prediction
CFP No. 3 Utah has all the pressure in the world on its shoulders. CFP No. 9 BYU wins against Notre Dame to resume if 10-2.
BYU’s star running back LJ Martin can probably play, but Utah does too good a job controlling the clock with its own game, and the defense against Cincinnati will need to accomplish this.
BYU won three in a row in the series, but that was under Kyle Whittingham. Under Morgan Scalley, the program has built up all year to have a shot at taking down the Cougars.
6. Miami at Notre Dame
Line: Notre Dame -7.5
Select ATS: Miami
– Game Preview and Prediction
I will admit that I am clearly torn. On the one hand, Miami is ridiculously overrated as everyone’s No. 1 question. 1. He was too weak against Florida State and North Carolina, and they killed all the big and meaty ones against the entire meh, except for Wake Forest.
On the other hand, it’s past season for CFP No. 11 Notre Dame to truly prove that it deserves all the love, hype, and complaints about the CFP’s top ranking. If the Irish were really good, they would be beaten byU.
Notre Dame wins – I think this team is national title-good, and the chances are better that the St. Irish kick the St. Dog in a cathartic blow than I see a Miami win outright – but after a big drop, Miami faces its path to a cosmetic shutout.

CFP No. 22 Arizona’s defense has been fantastic at home, beating Cincinnati 34-7 back in early October and winning 39-3 over Iowa State a few weeks ago. really, really, really; really Elsewhere, I don’t score in Ireland.
All seven of TCU’s games against FBS teams this year have been scored under 47 total points, with the closest being a 24-20 loss at West Virginia. About which…

You are exhausted. You started your day with CFP No. 8 UCLA in Minnesota (I don’t really have that read yet), rolled through game after game on one of the biggest early November Saturdays in years, and it still wasn’t enough. You need more, and that’s what the 9:30 pm showdown of West Virginia at No. 15 Texas Tech is for.
The Mountaineers, who have had two weeks to rest up, Texas Tech has found their groove again, and these two will come out of the rolling gates and not stop until the wee hours of the morning. (Texas Tech will take care of at least 45 on its own).

Police CFP No. 6 Kentucky, that just doesn’t make any sense.
This is the pain awful He’s struggled to move the chains in the third, even worse at stopping teams on third downs, and yet it’s crazy amazing to hang around – this team does not screw up – then find ways to win.
One thing to remember. They had fantastic 35-34 wins over South Carolina and LSU, but they were almost insanely tilted the other way. The children of Lacinia were the Internet, but the policy was the real estate.
Kentucky rhythm and rhythm from CFP no. The Flyers will be big after sitting through two weeks of losing to South Carolina.
2. Alabama at LSU
Line: LSU -5.5
Select ATS: LSU
– Game Preview and Prediction
The Ole Miss game for CFP No. 14 LSU was what it was – a good and foaming at the mouth Rebels team poured every ounce of its soul into beating Lane Kiffin. (And it showed, any of that same spark in a 52-28 loss to Florida a week later).
LSU’s loss at Kentucky got even better. The team played like it was going in slow motion and still came close to winning. But the days with Ole Miss and LSU were on the way.
CFP No. 5 Alabama lost to Georgia, lost to Tennessee and won a lot 31-20 at Texas A&M, but ehhhhhhh. They will definitely have their moments on offense, but they won’t be enough. Here’s what I can’t…
LSU has five home games.
– LSU 51, Clemson 10 .
– LSU 45, Louisiana Tech (who would win the Sun Belt, BTW) 14
– LSU 35, Texas A&M 6
– LSU 63, McNeese State 14
– LSU 31, Mississippi State 0
Well, well. All five of those teams have some form of issues, and none of them is Alabama. But LSU will take the game a few notches at home by dominating the clock and capitalizing on three takeaways.

In the last two seasons, we’ve seen CFP No. 12 Ohio State, came within feet of Nick Marsh’s investment in losing to Indiana, and last week was weirdly funny in the loss to USC.
What was wrong? Rutgers, Washington and Penn State came closer to beating USC than Ohio State did. Fortunately, Oregon is playing a team that doesn’t seem to do well when its rhythm is off.
The Ducks couldn’t wake up until it happened late in a 39-31 loss to Oklahoma State. The game started at 9:00 am Pacific Time. The 21-10 loss at Illinois started at 12:00 pm Pacific.
Ohio State QB Luke Fahey got his feet wet against the Trojans. Now, watch the Buckeye offense play much better.
The road game starts at 1:30 pm on target time.
