Welcome to the 2026 MLB playoffs, baseball fans. The postseason began Tuesday with fourteen Game 1s in the best-of-three Wild Card Series. The Braves came back against the Phillies in the first inning, with the White Sox getting an easy victory against the Astros and going to a bloodbath Cam Schlittler and Ben Rice helped the Yankees decimate the Red Sox. Late on the board, Michael Rex took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in a walk-off victory over the Padres Cubs.

The Rays, Rangers, Brewers and Dodgers all have secured byes and the winners are in the next round. The Rays are the top seed in the American League and will face their opponent in the ALDS, either the Yankees or the Red Sox. The Rangers, despite an 85-77 record that tied for 10th out of 12 playoff teams, earned the No. 2 seed in the AL, with either the 84-win White Sox or the 81-win Astros in the next round.
The Brewers (103 wins) and Dodgers (100 wins) both hit triple digits in the win column during the regular season, and will host the NLDS Game 1s on Saturday. The Brewers get the Padres-Cubs winner, while the two-time reigning champion Dodgers or Braves or Phillies get it.
