Ismael Bonfim Reacts to Wild Loss at UFC Vegas 122
Taking to his social media following UFC Vegas 122, Bonfim issued a statement regarding his latest loss in the UFC.
“I am always grateful to God for life, health and every opportunity he gives me. Everything is not as planned, the results do not always come as desired, but my faith remains unassailable. Because above my plans are the plans of God and he chooses to trust even when I do not understand. I thank you for every person who cheers for me, praying for me and standing by with no business, but inexcusable. Bonfim wrote on his Instagram.

“We came here the hardest way, facing battles few know, overcoming fears, breaking down barriers, and fighting against things that happen far beyond what happens inside the octagon. The outcome of a fight does not define the value of a warrior, and defeat can never erase all the history we have built. I hold my head high, my heart at peace and my faith stronger. Because he who knows where it comes from, he fights everything. Because he who knows where he comes from, everything must be fought. Because who he knows where he comes from, he can fight everything. Ex.
Will Ismael Bonfim Get Another UFC Fight?
Since Bonfim has lost four fights in a row, and given how badly he missed weight in this fight, it is highly unlikely that the UFC will offer him another fight.

But he’ll have to go back to drawing boards if he wants to continue his MMA career, which is really in the way now, given how bad he’s looked in his last few fights after a strong start to his UFC career.
Funny enough, when he first joined the UFC, many fans thought that Ismael Bonfim was the better of the Bonfim brothers, but over time Gabriel Bonfim has proven to be the far better fighter of the two.
While he will likely be released by the UFC, look for Bonfim to receive offers from other promotions, such as the potential MVP of MMA after they merge with the PFL, or even move to Europe to fight in an organization such as Oktagon MMA.
Because it’s pretty clear that he’s done in the UFC in his own time, and there’s really no one to blame but himself for doing poorly and not being able to make it to his weight.
