The biggest storylines to watch for in Week 7 of Big Ten football

Big Ten college football gets its biggest game of the season this week with Ohio State and Indiana. At the same time, the two worst teams in the conference are also playing each other. The top and bottom of the Big Ten will be determined this week, and the Trojans will be a big beneficiary no matter how things pan out.

Here are some media storylines to follow in the Big Ten in Week 7:

Washington vs. Purdue will be the top softball game this week

The Washington Huskies quarterback had a disappointing few weeks ago. The Minnesota Gophers had one of their best offensive games against the Huskies. Last week, the Iowa Hawkeyes steamrolled the Huskies offense. The Boilermakers are going to have a good fight against Purdue. Their defense is bad though, so I hope Demond Williams and the Huskies offense have a great game. The Huskies have the most firepower, so they will come out on top, but it will take the last touch in the fourth quarter to win this shootout. This game will be the highest-scoring game in the Big Ten this week.

Who is the king of the Big Ten?

Ohio State gets its first test since a loss to the Texas Longhorns this week against the Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana hasn’t had it easy these past few weeks, with nothing but competitive games. This game will decide the true king of the Big Ten, and I think Ohio State will. OSU’s football team should be better. If anything, the Buckeyes’ offense looks a lot better than it did against Texas, controlling the game for three quarters before falling apart in the fourth. For Indiana, teams have gotten the best of them in several games in recent weeks. Against Ohio State, Indiana should be on its A-game. The best bet is that Ohio State will get his signature against his top opponent.

Battle for the worst team in the Big Ten

This game will be a battle of the worst teams in the Big Ten. Rutgers will take on the Crimson Knights. Both have proven defenses that can’t stop anyone. The Maryland Terrapins have less to contend with in this game, with three straight losses coming off the trumpets. The crimson knights have more fire inside. KJ Duff and Antwan Raymond shall be stars in this game. Losing this game should mark Maryland as the worst team in the Big Ten and give Mike Locksley the last nail in his pocket.

Michigan will continue to spiral

Michigan got a lot of work done last week, but this team didn’t show much to suggest Penn State. Bryce Underwood’s struggles continue, and unfortunately, the head coaches haven’t been much better. Kyle Whittingham looks ready for retirement. Losing three games in a row will put him on the road closer to that. The next week, Indiana was even worse off. Things can really get ugly in Michigan, they will probably get better sooner rather than later.

Nebraska will be a signature win

The Nebraska Cornhuskers proved themselves against the Hoosiers last week. What are the Big Ten teams like? The Oregon Ducks don’t have a quarterback cut starting this week after Dante Moore was ruled out. Dylan Raiola has given no confidence that he can get the job behind the bench next week. The Cornhuskers will have the best quarterback on the field, and I think this underdog team will finally win their decision this week. Experts and none will still take Nebraska seriously; The Cornhuskers will give them no choice this week.
