Lamar Jackson took part in practice for the third day on Friday, a sign of encouragement for the Baltimore Ravens in their chances of playing the quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals.
But while it was good to see Jackson back in practice after missing two games due to a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 4, no one is ready to declare him 100% back on Sunday.

“He was able to get some work done the last couple of days,” head coach Jesse Minter said. “Between Lamar and our staff, it’s going to be up to him and how he feels and how effective he can be. He’s had a good couple of days, but we’ll see how the next 48 hours go.”
On Friday’s injury report, Jackson was listed as questionable and could be a game-time decision, according to head coach Jesse Minter.
Jackson has been out for two weeks in practice with an injury, but the work he’s done on the field could have him back in action this weekend.
“Right now, we’re going in the right direction,” Jackson said of his status for Week 7. “We’ll see, hopefully.”

Jackson said the biggest factor in whether he plays this week is not so much the level of swelling but how much he can deal with the pain.
“I feel like a lot of swelling has gone down,” Jackson said. “It’s just pain tolerance. I’m just trying to move how I move. If I can’t do that, I can’t help my team.”
Tyler Huntley filled in for Jackson through injury. He entered the game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4 and helped Baltimore to a win. Since he started each of the past two weeks – the Atlanta Falcons have won and the Cleveland Browns have lost. In those two starts, he’s thrown for 336 yards with three touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 68% completion percentage.
“It’s like every week,” Huntley said of potentially getting his third straight start. “Just prepare to play and then once we get to Sunday, we’ll see.”
