The Blue Jays are heading down south for a massive series this weekend against the Rangers, with postseason implications aplenty. Toronto rookies certainly dressed for the occasion.
The idea for this particular theme for the traditional rookie road trip came from 42-year-old Max Scherzer, according to Toronto veteran Myles Straw.
“He was excited to show me a couple of days ago, and I thought it would be great, especially for a couple of the guys we’ve got in the rookie class,” Straw said. “Hopefully, there are some pictures. I’m sure there will be some pictures posted and [the media] will probably like it.”
The Blue Jays’ series with the Rangers begins Friday at Globe Life Field.
