Tuesday is one of the great days of hockey and one time I will play at least something in each game, as it is the fourth edition of the NHL’s Frozen frenzy in partnership with ESPN. All 32 teams are in action, the puck drops every 15 minutes and they are moved as much as possible. The first game is demons vs. red wings starting at 6 pm ET last Bruins vs sharks at 11 ET – that’s the one I watch the most and it’s a regular ESPN telecast. Bet $5+ on any of tonight’s NHL games to get $150 in bonus bets at the DraftKings Sportsbook:
Whip around coverage then from 7 ET through midnight on ESPN2. I will probably fight half of the unit in all 16 games, like last season, when I finished a little higher. Via FanDuel, the Over/Under total goals scored tonight is 98.5 with the Plus as a -142 favorite. The guy I’ll talk about below, Celebrini San Jose Macklin, is the leader of the 2000+ most shots on goal.
I probably would have focused on the Penguins vs. Blackhawks game at 8 p.m. if I knew for sure whether Chicago star Connor Bedard was going to make his season debut after shoulder surgery. The former No. 1 overall strength and Calder Trophy winner is empty-handed for full contact Sunday in practice, but it seems more likely he will need a doctor’s OK to actually play. You know you want to play against your idol Sidney Crosby and it sounds like you’re going to. If not, is expected to Thursday vs. Winnipeg

Maybe the Bruins-Sharks Stanley Cup Finals preview. I don’t want to recommend a bet, but it’s not impossible. Boston (4-2-0) starts the California Swing tonight and has a four-game road trip overall. Let it be No. 1 Jeremy Swayman in net, because this is not a back-to-back. The American was outstanding at 4-1-0 with a 1.79 GAA, a .932 save percentage and a strikeout. Swayman’s next win will be No. 137 career as Andy Moog for the eighth-most singles in team history.
The B’s also get a big piece of the lineup back tonight for the first time this season in All-Star defenseman Charlie McAvoy. He was suspended for the first six games for an incident in the first round of last season’s playoffs. McAvoy is not only good on the back end, but a huge part of the Boston energy unit after posting 61 points last season (11 goals, 50 assists) and 23 on the power play. It had a plus 13 rating.
“It’s not easy to go out 4-2. We’re happy,” Bruins coach Marco Sturm said at halftime Monday. “That doesn’t mean we can relax now that Charlie’s back. No. Overall, they did a good job [without McAvoy] and now we must decide how to proceed.
Young guys like Frederic Brunet and Mason Lohrei cut in well to fill McAvoy’s void but with eight defenders already, someone will sit tonight. Meanwhile, star forward David Pastrnak is one goal shy of passing former teammate Brad Marchand for fourth place on the Bruins’ all-time list with both 422. Pastrnak has two goals and five assists for a team-best seven points and is +145 to find the net tonight.

San Jose (3-2-0) has gone to overtime in three of its five games now, with each of the Sharks’ three first-quarter wins being either OT or shootouts. Only four teams in NHL history have had four or more wins in a season beyond regulation. The club brought back their young superstar forward Celebrin (+950 for the Hart Trophy) on Saturday from a two-game injury absence.
Prior to No. 1 overall, he had the team’s only goal in his first year, in a 3-1 home loss to Edmonton. He’s a +125 all-time metascoring favorite tonight and -240 just to point. Since the start of last season, Celebrini has made 46.2% of all Sharks goals (121 of 262; six of 10 this year with a streak). Even in that span, San Jose is 26-7-2 when Celebrin scores a goal, 31-13-3 when he assists and 27-3-2 when he has two or more points in a game.
The Sharks are really fun to hang around, but they still don’t have a goaltender who is going to carry them far, with Yaroslav Askarov (2-2-0, 3.71 GAA) as their No. 1 and Alex Nedeljkovic (1-0-0, 1.97 GAA) back. Askarov needs to go tonight, even though Nedeljkovic had one good result.
San Jose swept the 2025-26 season series against Boston, winning 3-1 at home and then losing 4-2. Celebrini had a goal and combined two assists. Askarov and Nedeljkovic each received a start. Pastrnak (goal, two assists) led Boston with three points, and Swayman was in net for both.

This model essentially has to be drawn to 3.3-all. So it’s nice that you’ll be able to use the Double Chance arrangement once. I despise NHL overtimes because I never seem to come out victorious in them. That’s why I’m usually so big on +1.5. But the double chance was considerably cheaper than San Jose +1.5, and now the whole force is OT. Check out other financial experts read on SportsLine daily.
