MIAMI — The Mets continued their late-season surge on Wednesday night with a wild 15-14 win over the Marlins at loanDepot park.
New York had an 8-0 lead with one out in the top of the second inning only to see the Marlins rally to tie it in the sixth.
The Mets squashed Miami’s comeback bid with six more runs in the seventh and held on for the three-game sweep. New York has won its past three series and earned its third series sweep since August.
New York was outscored 10-2 in the Marlins’ three-game sweep in its last trip to Miami on May 22-24.
