Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders gave a short but direct answer Tuesday when asked what the Buffaloes need to do to beat Kansas State on Saturday.
“Stop,” said Sander.
Colorado enters Halloween on Folsom campus with a 2-5 record and five consecutive losses. Saturday’s 57-24 loss at Oklahoma State included a scoreless second half after the Buffaloes took a 24-23 halftime lead.

Sander said the amendment should extend through offense and defense, with penalties remaining a particular frustration.
“That’s the only thing we’re consistent in taking penalties,” Sanders said. “And this doesn’t suit me, but we need to do better. Be prepared much better.”
Cicero points to special teams progress
Colorado coach Deion Sanders stands on the field as the team warms up before the college football game between the Oklahoma State Cowboys (OSU) and the Colorado Buffaloes at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla., on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Sanders said Colorado has shown more consistency on special teams in recent weeks and should maintain progress.
“I feel like the last couple of weeks, special teams wise, I haven’t heard you guys ask special teams questions,” Sanders said.

Concerns elsewhere included running and shooting the ball, as well as creating turnovers. Colorado committed three turnovers against Oklahoma State and failed to produce a productive offensive attack.

Kansas State coach Collin Klein said Monday that Colorado will present challenges through its personnel and schemes employed by offensive coordinator Brennan Marion and defensive coordinator Chris Marve.
“Both coordinators are very creative and do a lot. They have talent. Guys can run on both sides of the ball,” Klein said.
Klein also joined the interior defense line of Colorado.

“Their 10 tackles are extremely snappy and fire football,” he said.
Kansas State enters at 4-3 following a 28-17 loss to Arizona State. Both teams will try to fix the issues Saturday’s execution, as Colorado still seeks its first Big 12 win.
