Dominic Reyes hasn’t been picking fights since his big win at UFC 333 on Saturday.
The two-time light heavyweight title challenger scored a stellar first-round knockout of Azamat Murzakanov to close out the UFC 333 prelims in Abu Dhabi. All looked good for Reyes, who has now won two fights in a row, following a split decision win over Johnny Walker in April.

In his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier, Reyes was all smiles after his clean performance. But that changed hours later, when Reyes took to 10 for the first time since June to turn the color commentator on the UFC Hall of Famer.
He had said that Reyes was a mad string of logs;
Real talk, who really likes to listen to Z iq mocker asi DC?!
I have a long flight and some real stuff to go!
I’m sick of being a nice guy while these bastards completely disrespect and undermine what I’ve done in this game. These so-called “experts”.
And Jon Jones does not cry all of us, the one who you! Evil! Multiple. Kid
Calling me a kid, Mf I’m a big ass!
We are at a point where we are applauding DC for realizing the fundamental thrust of the movement.
@DominickCruz He was right all along.
And another thing!
This isn’t the first time Cormier has been targeted in his retirement by a fighter on social media.
The former UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight contender has always defended his work in the boxing ring, and Reyes finally did in response.
said Cormier:
Cold
I am a cold house. I’m not calling you a kid, I’m just telling you the truth. When you do something wonderful like you did today, I praise you. If anything like the last fight with Johnny [Walker]I speak the truth that too. But these comments seem to have been with you for a while. You can always talk to me. I am not very hardworking.
All this prompted a quick response from Reyes without delay:
My name is Dominic, not Kid. Yeah I heard your blog tonight during my fight. How about that part where Paul called you for your clear study? And what did you do? You laughed at that. I don’t know where to find you?? I have literally never seen you anywhere other than around the cage or in the cage after a fight. I was struck by your research and knowledge in your comment. Your “expert” comment bends the average fan’s opinions and has a profound impact on our lives. Your constant criticism of fighters from across the board is frustrating, especially when it’s an American fighter.
The space seemed to end. Cormier, however, follows up with one more answer before everyone called it a night, at least to exchange.

Reyes then continued, handling the second fight from UFC 333.
Cormier:
I’ll play the game and honestly just find you in the interview. I really love you. I told your team how amazing you looked tonight that this was the best performance. But this is crazy. Just stop! very seriously
Reyes:
I’m not your buddy guy. But I don’t care if you really want me. I only care that you have a well thought out color comment. I will stop now, but not because you asked me to.
Reyes, 36, has been on a hot streak lately after enduring a rough four-fight skid that began with his first career loss — an infamous and controversial unanimous decision loss to then-light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in February 2020.
After his last performance at UFC 333, Reyes has won five of his last six bouts, with four ending in knockouts. His only loss came to recent division champion Carlos Ulberg.
