PITTSBURGH – Angels center fielder Mike Trout is in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Pirates after leaving Saturday’s 6-1 win for a pinch-runner in the ninth inning following a hit by pitch on his left hand.
Trout was in his usual No. 2 spot in the batting order for the series finale at PNC Park.
Trout was removed for pinch-runner Jose Siri after being struck by Yohan Ramírez’s pitch. The 12-time All-Star was 2-for-4 with one run and one run scored as the Angels won for the second time in their last 12 games.
Trout, 35, entered Sunday slashing .241/.376/.422 with 20 home runs and 51 RBIs in 123 games this season.
