The San Diego Padres have their own tight end.
One day after the team added reliever Mason Miller to the list on recent paternity, he has been removed and is available to pitch in Game 4 on Wednesday night.
Miller had to miss San Diego-winning Game 3 as the Padres were down 2-0 in the best-of-five series. San Diego rallied for a 4-3 win. The Padres still trail 2-1 in the series and must win Wednesday night to force the series final Friday night.

The closer was replaced with Wandy Peralta. Peralta did not appear on Tuesday night and has now been removed from the roster as Miller returns.
Miller and his wife, Jordan, welcomed their first child, and everything went well through manager Craig Stammen.
San Diego took a one-run lead in the top of the eighth. While Miller would normally have gotten out of the pen to get six big snaps, in his absence, Stammen turned to Michael King for starters.
The veteran right-hander began his career as a reliever and later became a starter. King allowed just one hit and walked two in his innings, but yielded no runs. And he struck one ram. Stammen said King is available for Game 4 if needed.

With his season on the line, the Padres are starting Walker Buehler. The 32-year-old pitched in 32 games this season and had a 9-6 record with a 4.63 ERA.
Stammen will likely turn to the pen at the first sign of trouble, especially since the team’s manager said he is hopeful that Guy Adrian Morejon will be available tonight.
