The Baltimore Ravens announced Saturday that they had released Lamar Jackson from “questionable” to “out” for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
His high ankle sprain will sideline him for the third consecutive game.

Jackson is not good enough to return to practice in a limited capacity for Week 7 after this week.
Jackson returning to the practice field was a positive sign, but this week no one was ready to declare that 100 day return on Sunday.
“He was able to get some work done the last couple of days,” head coach Jesse Minter said Friday. “Between Lamar and our staff, it’s going to be up to him and how he feels and how effective he can be. He’s had a good couple of days, but we’ll see how the next 48 hours go.”
On Friday’s injury report, Jackson was listed as “a problem.” Menter Tullius said that the plan could be game time, unless it turns out that the Ravens’ call was made earlier.

Jackson is missed two weeks of practice in the following Week IV. He told reporters on Friday that he was “turning in the right direction.”
Jackson explained the most important factor whether he could play this week was not so much the level of swelling, but how much pain he could deal with.
“I feel like a lot of swelling has gone down,” Jackson said. “It’s just pain tolerance. I’m just trying to move how I move. If I can’t do that, I can’t help my team.”
Tyler “Snoop” Huntley filled in for Jackson when he was injured. He entered the game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4 and helped Baltimore to a win. Since he started each of the past two weeks – the Atlanta Falcons have won and the Cleveland Browns have lost. In those two starts he threw for 336 yards with 3 touchdowns, no interceptions and a completion percentage of 68%.
“It’s like every week” Huntley said Friday On receiving power, the third begins immediately. “Just prepare to play and then once we get to Sunday, we’ll see.”
