The Sacramento River Cats lost tonight’s game, 9-6, their third-straight loss…they are now 10-10 against Las Vegas on the season…with tonight’s loss at Vegas, and Oklahoma City’s victory over Sugar Land, the River Cats are now officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Tristan Beck was the starter tonight for Sacramento, his first appearance since coming off the 7-day IL and his second start of the year (also, July 7 vs SL)…did not factor in Sacramento’s 9-6 defeat…went 1.0 inning allowing one run on one hit, no walks and struck out one…now posts a 4.66 ERA (38.2 IP, 20 ER) allowing 36 hits, 19 walks and has struck out 40 in Triple-A games this year…has made 11 relief appearances with San Francisco this year posting a 7.07 ERA (14.0 IP, 11 ER), allowing 17 hits, five walks and struck out six.

Logan Martin took over in the second inning and picked up his first Triple-A loss…went 2.1 innings allowing a season-high five runs on four hits (2 HR), two walks and struck out zero…now posts a 13.50 ERA (4.2 IP, 7 ER) allowing four hits, five walks and has struck out two.

Will Brennan (1-for-4) blasted his fourth homer of the series and 11th of the season…has knocked 16 extra-base-hits since August 9, ranking T-6th in all of Triple-A…he is batting .262 (28-for-107) with seven doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 21 RBI, six walks, a .561 slugging percentage, and an .862 OPS in that span.

Zach Morgan (2-for-4) appeared in his first game since being optioned back to Sacramento on September 8…his fifth multi-hit game, sixth multi-RBI game and third three-RBI game with Sacramento…is now hitting .231 (25-for-108) with six doubles, one home run, 19 RBI, 12 walks, a .315 slugging percentage and a .624 OPS in Triple-A this year.

Diego Velasquez went 0-for-1 with a lineout in a pinch-hit at-bat in the top of the ninth, ending his 13-game hitting streak…is now hitting .291 (30-for-103) with 10 doubles, one triple, three RBI, 15 walks, a .408 slugging percentage and a .795 OPS.
