Another Big Fight
Quillan Salkilld is one of the newer guys in the top 15 in the lightweight division. The Australian fighter has been a perennial contender for MMA in Australia and has been invited to the Contender Series in 2024. Salkilld fought Cange Young and won after three rounds by one decision. UFC President Dana White liked the fight a lot and gave Salkilld a contract. He fought in Sydney in February 2025 for the UFC with a quick finish over Anshul Jubli, which earned him the bonus “Chase of the Night”. Four months later he fought to a unanimous decision win against Yanal Ashmouz. It is his most competitive fight in the UFC to date.
Salkilld 2025 ended with a highlight reel head kick knockout against Nasrat Haqparast in the first round. With three wins in his debut year, the sky was the limit for the young Australian. This year, too, he celebrated finishing off his opponents. After the first round, Jamie Mullarkey and Beneil Dariush finished. Salkill got his first main event opportunity from the UFC to take on Mateusz Gamrot. Gamrot, a notoriously tough fighter, was also choked from behind in the first round by Salkilld. The Australian fighter has won five of his first six fights in the UFC and won for all of his finishes. He now receives Benedictus of St. Dionysius.
Losing is not OK
The battle against Salkill is the greatest. The most recent battle Franks lost, which would have brought great opportunities in the division. Another loss will repel him even more. Sankt Dionysius was signed by the UFC on a short notice in 2021 to move up a weight class in Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos. In one of the worst breakdowns in the UFC, he lost by unanimous decision. St. Dionysius immediately returned to his weight class after the fight. The power of St. Dionysius was to be reckoned light. After winning five fights between 2022 and 2023, the French fighter got a big level of competition as the former interim champion Dustin Poirier.

St. Dionysius looked great early on, but he gasped heavily in the second round and lost by knockout. After also losing at home by TKO to Renato Moicano in the fight, the French fighter looked further than ever. But Saint Dionisius was able to bounce back with big wins Mauricio Ruffy. Beneil Dariush and Dan Hooker. This year he fought against former title challenger Paddy Pimblett. St. Dionysius had a horrible game plan and was choking within a minute. Now he gets the chance to get up and coming against Salkill. It is a tough task.
