Tristan McKee Reacts After Breaking NASCAR History
Moments after winning the pole for Friday night’s Truck Series class and making history in the process, McKee was delighted on his lap. However, the young man does not want to settle for less and is disappointed that his second lap is simply not faster than the first.

Despite this, McKee will be the front runner to start Friday night’s race.
“It was a really good pocket. Unfortunately, I thought it would be better again and it kind of messed up [turns] 3 and 4, but the pain was really, really fast,” McKee said.
McKee recently became the 2026 ARCA Menards Eastern Series champion. The Williamsburg, Virginia native has won four races in a streak spanning just nine starts.
McKee also starts in the main ARK Menards Series and has four wins in 13 starts. Friday night’s Artist Truck race will mark his fifth start in the series. McKee already has three top-10 finishes across his first four Truck Series attempts.
