Deontay Wilder will fight Jai Opetaia undercard for Tyson Fury’s long-awaited fight with Anthony Joshua in Cardiff.
The 31-year-old Opetaia, who is undefeated in 31 fights, winning 24 by knockout, will move from cruiserweight to heavyweight against former world champion Wilder.

Wilder has a history with Fury and has lost the last two of his trilogy, coming off a 41-year comeback win by knocking out Derek Chisora in London in April.

Zuffa Boxing claims Opetaia had previously been linked with undefeated three-weight world champion David Benavidez, although he will face Michael Cieslak instead.
Opetaia had previously signed for Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing, with White involved in the Fury-Joshua promotion on December 11.
The former heavyweight champions will face each other in a battle for almost a decade, claiming the Welsh championship and live on Netflix.
Fury, 38, and Joshua, 37, are expected to walk their ring in the early hours of Saturday, and now support matches have been announced for Friday evening.
