Over the weekend, both UNC and NC State had very mixed results: the Tar Heels lost to Indiana, 76-58, while NC beat Mississippi State, 77-73.
UNC passed by 22, which hurt Michael Malone’s pride. Freshman Sayon Keita finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds, while Matt Can chipped in 11.

On the bright side, former wing captain Darren Harris scored 11 for the Hoosiers.
As for the Wuffies, Paul McNeil and Preston Edmead each had 16, while Darius Adams finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Ven-Allen Lubin had 13 points and 5 rebounds, and pulled down four key shots down the stretch.
As we said before, spectacle is a game, and while everyone wants to win, games are more about analyzing players, lineups, and what your team is capable of, and understanding what their weaknesses are and how to mask them.
We’ll have a much better idea of where things stand when the more meaningful games begin.
