Notably, both are under contract until 2027, so their terms become attractive as the season progresses.
Barcelona are considering options at left-back
Currently, the Blaugrana Several players can have a large area of fortification.
As such, the likes of Eric Garcia and Jules Kounde provide options on the right wing, while Joao Cancelo, Xavi Espart and Alejandro Balde can operate on the opposite flank.
There is a slight unevenness, but with the Cancelo and Espart they are very passable.

Balde, on the other hand, remains a natural left-back, but his start to the war was not very troublesome, leaving Barcelona to assess what the position could look like in the next season.

As previously reported, Balde’s departure cannot be completely ruled out if things change and the player agrees to move, which would make things more pressing.
Raum and Cicero offer different profiles
Raum is particularly familiar with Hans Flick, as the German coach knows him from his time around the national team and has seen his performances up close.
He brings 28 years of international experience and has established himself as a Leipzig regular.
It is said that the Bundesliga is keen to extend his contract and prevent him from reaching the end of his career, but nothing has come to an end.

On the other hand, Mitchell also goes to the final stage of his contract and has been linked with Barcelona in the past.
Barcelona must decide before January
It is important to understand that players entering the final stages of their contracts can play for clubs from January, potentially creating competition for their signatures well before the summer window opens.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are also looking to make changes to their squad in the January transfer window, especially in the flanks.
This is why in some areas it is redundant, significant departures can create the space and squad flexibility required for new arrivals.
Raum and Mitchell are therefore names worth watching, although there is still a long way to go before Barcelona make any definitive decisions on their left backs.
