NASCAR has announced a long-term partnership with FedEx Freight that will make the newly independent trucking leader an entitlement partner of the NASCAR Truck Series beginning in 2017.
The NASCAR FedEx Freight Truck Series brings together two closely related brands of the trucking industry and the people who keep America moving — North America’s two largest less-than-truckload (LTL) carriers with the NASCAR Series defined by toughness, relentless competition, and some of the toughest racing in motorsports.

The agreement also marks a significant milestone for FedEx Freight as a newly independent, publicly traded company. The NASCAR championship marks the first time FedEx Freight has put its brand behind a championship platform of this scale, using one of the most prestigious entitlement positions in American motorsports to build standalone FedEx Freight brand awareness and deepen relationships with customers, employees, and business leaders across the country.
“FedEx Freight choosing NASCAR for a brand investment of this magnitude says a lot about what our sport is today and the value platform our business can grow,” said Craig Stimmel, SVP and Chief Commercial Officer, NASCAR. “And there couldn’t be a more natural pairing than FedEx Freight and the NASCAR Truck Series. This is a series built on trucks, toughness, and people who compete incredibly hard to deliver every week. That same grit, determination, and fact-finding mentality is embedded in FedEx Freight. As they continue to establish their identity across the board, they’re creating what’s incredible in their business.
As part of the agreement, FedEx Freight will also become NASCAR’s official partner and NASCAR’s exclusive shipping team in the United States, Canada, and Mexico beginning on January 1, 2027.
