Josh Hokit has some advice for Gable Steveson.
Steveson entered the UFC with a lot of hype. With Olympic gold medal credentials, many believed the wrestler would have a career like his teammates who came before him. While he can still explain positively for it, Steveson finds himself in a rough spot. In his second fight with the UFC soon after, he was violently shaken and did not return to the octagon until the following year, leaving his career in limbo.

Happy to have Gable taunt Steveson as he goes down, Josh Hokit attacked his match believing his wrestling was good enough to compete inside the octagon.
“That boy Raple Sleepeson, are we talking about this guy? That boy Raple Sleepeson, real quick” Hokit said. “Sh*t, he must have watched my fights and been like, ‘This is going to be easy.’ This is sweet sh*t. It’s a whole different kind of thing. He wants to talk about my wrestling and all that other sh*t. This is not about wrestling, and he had to find out the hard way.
Hokit then called Steveson’s hand, accusing him of a lack of real discipline, saying:
“I heard you don’t think properly, and this is due to Jon Jones. I heard you don’t even spare and sh*t. What are we doing, gang? This is all a game. There is no income from the land. It is difficult for people like that that success from building stocks again. He had to know the hard way. We will see what he is here, if he is made here. If he really wants to be good in this game.
