Mike Gundy is back. At least on TV.
The former Oklahoma State football coach will make his debut this Saturday as part of TNT’s studio coverage of the Big 12 showdown between the Arizona Wildcats and West Virginia Mountaineers, according to Pokes Report.

Gundy, who was fired last September in the middle of his 21st season as Oklahoma State’s head coach, appeared in the coaches’ video released during the national championship game in January, but has not made many other media appearances. He also appeared in it sporadically.
According to Pokes Report, Gundy has been offered TNT/HBO Max an opportunity by ESPN and Fox Sports, as a studio analyst or sports analyst, respectively.
Gundy is the winningest coach in Oklahoma State football history, leading the Cowboys to a Big 12 Conference title and 12 bowl wins. He was named Big 12 Coach of the Year three times and led the Cowboys to eight 10-win seasons, with only two losing seasons during his 21 years on the job.
The former longtime coach will join studio host Jordan Cornette and analysts Champ Bailey and Takeo Spike on the broadcast, which kicks off at 10:30 am ET. As Pokes Report notes, Gundy’s buyout last year may prevent him from negotiating with Oklahoma State, so don’t expect too many comments from him about the 3-1 team.
