Cavaliers Ranked No. 9 in the AP Preseason Poll
Virginis’s No. 9 is the highest AP preseason ranking since a No. 4 ranking for the season 2020-21.
Cavaliers’ No. 9 ranking marks the first AP top-25 preseason ranking since their No. 18 preseason ranking in 2022-23.
UVA received two votes in the 2025-26 preseason AP Top-25 poll and finished 17th.
UVA was not ranked in the AP Top-25 because it was ranked No. 21 order on February 17, 2024.
