The fact that you’re reading my words right now probably means you’re a St.Louis Cardinals fan, but are you also a writer? I’m asking this very important question because now is your chance to join the fandom of your keyboards and join our baseball writers here at Viva El Birdos.
One of our team members had family responsibilities that required him to take a step back so that there will be an opening in our lineup soon so you would be a perfect fit. Here are some of the basics we ask for:

You gotta love the St. Louis Cardinals. This is not optional. It doesn’t agree with all ownership, management and team, though. He can play when something (or something) the Cardinals aren’t supposed to do, but he has to love the team.
You need to understand the importance of deadlines and follow through to provide unique content each week including the time interval. We are a relatively small team, but we trust each other to make interesting content available to the community every day.
You need to have at least a basic knowledge of Word Press. No prior professional writing experience is necessary, but you do need to be up-to-speed on how to compose digital content. I enjoy the exercise, but I’m not Mr. Miyagi.
You have to love St. Louis Cardinals’ unique look. This team loves analyzing roster construction, minor league affairs, potential trade targets and second-guessing management, ownership and President of Baseball operations decisions.
Does this sound all right to you? If so, I would love to hear from you. I hope to have our new team ready to start in December (just in time for the inevitable lockout!). Feel free to email me and introduce yourself. I promise to answer all inquiries. Viva El Birdos has the most educated baseball community in the game. I have no doubt that there is someone who will be the perfect fit to help VEB move forward. Do you?
