To say the relationship between Neal Maupay (30) and Robert De Zerbi during their time at Olympique Marseille is a tumultuous affair. When described “Son Coach” from Italy, the former Brentford striker was later drafted by De Zerbi’s first team before being loaned out to Sevilla FC.
The Olympique striker reflected on this difficult time in an interview RMC Sports. “Of course, they don’t treat my children like that.” Maupay noted those comments. “And again, everyone has their own way of doing things, their own methods of parenting.”

“When you go back to training and your things are left in the portable door at the back of the gym, when you’re in the pocket of your pitch and you don’t go to your room, of course it gets to you.” henceforth he admits. “It’s a lie to say otherwise. But I don’t want to dwell on it; we need to move.”
Although he felt Maupay’s pain, he bears no grudge against De Zerbi, especially because he has “He got older.” “If this had happened a few years ago, I would have thought there would have been a lot of resentment.” he says
Since returning to the OM first team, Maupay has made five appearances for the Marseille side this season, not scoring a goal in a competitive match since last April.
