Welcome to the divisions round! A full schedule of four games is scheduled for today.
Starting at noon, we have the White Sox at the Rangers. The White Sox will use Hagen Smith (1.29 regular season ERA) as the opener for the bullpen and keepers with their rookie pitcher, Parker Messick (2.56 regular season ERA). The game can be seen on TBS and HBO Max.

At 3 pm, Atlanta will take on the Dodgers in Los Angeles. Atlanta has not yet declared its intent to start, the Dodgers will go with deadline acquisition Tarik Skubal (2.72 regular season ERA). That game can be seen on FOX.
At 5:30, the Yankees St. Petersburg will dare to wear rays. Gerrit Cole (3.61 regular season ERA) will face Drew Rasmussen (2.67 regular season ERA) in the opener. This game can be seen on TBS and HBO Max.
The last game of the night, at 7:30, will see the Padres line up in brown. Robbie Ray (3.59 regular season ERA) faces presumptive NL Cy Young winner Jacob “The Mis” Misiorowski (1.80 regular season ERA).
If I were allowed to edit for a moment, I think that three of the four games in particular promise to be good. I’m not convinced Atlanta is going to contend with the Dodgers, but the Brewers and Padres have shown me enough to think they can give them a run for their money in the LCS. The White Sox didn’t pitch well, but the Rangers didn’t hit well, and while the Rangers won the division, the White Sox won more head-to-head matches, so that the streak was of a different race or bloodline.
Can’t wait!
