Week 7 Fantasy Football Sleepers: Jaylin Noel, Tyrone Tracy Jr. among the idler options off the wire

Germie Bernard, Dameon Pierce and Kendre Miller were all helpful in Week 6, so it was one of the best sleeper pages of the year. Let’s see if we can keep the ball rolling with a clever Week 7 schedule.

WR Jaylin Noel vs.: I’m shocked the market isn’t more interested in Noele, who is coming off three straight fantasy weeks and is hitting 4-107-1 against the Jaguars. Obviously, the Texans added other receivers through the trade, but Kayshon Boutte hasn’t done much all year and Marvin Harrison Jr. It was last week’s final calculation. Tank Dell’s return should also be mentioned, but given how little he’s done in two years, have low expectations. When CJ Stroud plays to high, let’s leave the light to Noel.

RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. among Texans (24%): Houston’s defense is much better against the run this year and don’t check if anyone wants to avoid the famous New York backfield this season. But Tracy scored two touchdowns in nine chances last week, so you have a shot at taking the figure. With a four-way bye, Tracy could sneak into the flex debate this week.

TE Colby Parkinson to Raiders (1%): With Davante Adams and Terrance Ferguson out for extended weeks, the Rams will have to rely on the pass rushers in the secondary for a while. Perhaps Konata Mumpfield and Tyler Higbee will fill those roles, but let’s keep an open mind for Parkinson, who put up a nice 5-31-1 streak in six goals last week. Raiders coverage has been poor throughout the year.

RB Kendre Miller Steelers vs.: We try not to repeat players on this sheet, but until Miller pushes 50% on the roster, it’s probably worth mentioning. Miller had 10 carries and two touchdown returns last week, and last week had 22 touchdowns (although they went for a measly 70 yards). The opportunity to get paid is the first job with the backfields, so Miller deserves serious consideration, even against strong Pittsburgh before seven in the NFL Paris Game (9:30 a.m. ET start).

RB Mike Washington Jr. vs Rams (32%): Washington foot soreness with the back and doing, so we trace his practice eight days before committing something. But it shouldn’t be overlooked that Washington has been more explosive than Ashton Jeanty this year, and Washington has double-digit touchdowns in two of the last three games.

QB Geno Smith vs.: He’s been inconsistent most of the year, with three points under 10 fantasy starts. Instead, Smith and rookie WR Omar Cooper Jr. Last week was clicking, Garrett Wilson remains a strong alpha and Miami’s defense has not stopped much, dropping a passer rating of 115.0.

WR Omar Cooper Jr. vs. Dolphins (43%): Cooper was hot on the rebound after a 6-103-1 streak last week, and he had another touchdown wiped out by a curious penalty. Miami’s inexperienced secondary will be tested by Cooper’s speed and ability to get deep.

WR Ja’Kobi Lane vs. Bengals (17%): We’ll mention Lana as possibly cutting the linebacker next week — his roster tag will be key if he has a breakout game in Cincinnati. Lane had a great summer, had a touchdown in Week 1 wiped out by a penalty and his return from injury last week was solid (4-40-0, five targets), especially given the presence of backup QB Tyler Huntley. Lane would settle for Baltimore’s best pass catcher in the middle of the second year, and Lamar Jackson will feel the outcome of the fall in reverse.
