Breeders’ Cup Limited today announced the return of the “Champions Give Back” month-long campaign offering fans, participants, and partners various opportunities to support the Breeders’ Cup charities and their work throughout the prestigious racing community.
Running from Oct. 1 at the October 30-31 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky., “Champions Give Back” is again on the line with a $50,000 matching gift from horse owner and philanthropist Ken Freirich. Through Frederick’s commitment, donations made during the campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $50,000, doubling the impact in support of the Breeders’ Cup Charity.

Copa Breeders Charities supports established organizations and programs whose work aligns with its five core pillars, extending the impact of the World Championship beyond the track and providing significant support to the horses, people and communities at the heart of the Thoroughbred Race.
In 2026, the Breeders’ Cup will proudly support multiple charities established by, but not limited to, the Outstanding Aftercare Alliance (“TAA”), the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (“PDJF”), the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, and the Race Track Chaplains of America (“RTCA”).

Breeders’ Cup merchandise purchased on-site at Keeneland will also have the option of rounding out a purchase at checkout to benefit the Breeders’ Cup Charities. Additionally, 100 percent of Breeders’ Cup royalties received from all official merchandise sales will be donated to Breeders’ Cup Charities. Shopping is available online at BreedersCupShop.com, and the Breeders’ Cup Shopping Center at Keeneland will open Oct. 2 and remain open throughout the World Championships.
A number of specialty items will also provide opportunities to pay. Breeders’ Cup and Maker’s Mark have collaborated on a commemorative bottle label that will be available through the Breeders’ Cup Shop, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Breeders’ Cup Charities. An exclusive, limited-edition coin featuring the beloved face of Cody, two-time winner of the Breeders’ Cup Dist Mile (G1), will also be available during the $100 Championships, with all proceeds benefiting Breeders’ Cup Charities.

Guests attending the World Championships will also be able to contribute through several signature event cocktails. One dollar from every official Breeders’ Cup cocktail sold – Torrie’s Cup, Maker’s Mark Bourbon, and Crown, featuring Chopin Vodka – will be donated to Breeders’ Cup Charities. Official Tequila Partner Verdadero will donate $1 from every cocktail purchased at its own bar at the World Championships.
Owners of horses participating in the World Championships will once again have the opportunity to designate a percentage of their earnings as a purse to the Breeders’ Cup Charities.
Rounding out the campaign, Breeders Cup Charities will host an online auction in the event of a Breeders’ Cup crisis and will be giving away race memorabilia and unique experiences, with proceeds supporting Breeders’ Cup Charities. Breeders’ Cup Charities inaugural Memorabilia Auction of the Cross Gate Gallery on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2026. The auction will take place both online and live at the Lexington, Ky. Gallery, featuring an exceptional collection including items attached to Champion Zenyatta from the personal collection of late Hall of Famer John Shirreffs.
