The Colorado Buffaloes football quarterback carousel continues to go round and round. This will be the second season that Deion Sanders and his offensive coordinator have changed the starting linebacker due to a lack of success in the game. Coach First has said in the past that he knows what he looks like, but he still knows what a quarterback looks like, which Shedeur Sanders isn’t.
There is no question that Deion Sanders could have recruited players for the Buffs, but their lack of technique and coaching programs to compete as the best team would be a bottom 12 team in the conference this season. The coach’s first mindset is to recruit players for the program to play, then bring in a new offensive or defensive coordinator with the hope of success.

He failed at every turn. Especially when it comes to the QB position. When Shedeur Sanders was CU’s starting quarterback, he needed every tool to break school records and be successful. When Kaidon Salter reached a fourth-down threat last season, the offense, which was run under Pat Shumurur, showed how slowly they progressed for Salter to take a decision when he passes to the Buffs receivers.
We now have a go-to offense that averages 10 points a game against Power 4 football programs this season. Julian Lewis is on the Texas Tech bench in place of Isaac Wilson, who played a terrific game. Having accomplished these things, at twenty 220 paces, after intercepting four six, I choose Wilson, who is considered a dual-threat quarterback who can stretch games, did just that to drive a touchdown in their game. The Go-Go’s offense should suit Wilson well on Saturday. However, Texas Tech made the necessary in-game and halftime plays to keep the Buffs offense from scoring any more points in the game.
Colorado is learning a hard lesson about the unpopular identity of what the team is, and what kind of team it will be. Motivational prayers become deafening to quarterbacks when the head coach sells them a dream that won’t come true. Because these quarterbacks and other athletes on the team are looking to fulfill their NFL dreams. The only option is to leave them. If you want to see an example of how well a former Buffs quarterback does at the professional level, take a look at Salter, who started his career with the BC Lions and holds the franchise’s single game record for 116 yards.
Lewis, who played alongside Salter last season, was the first to see the message sent to him with the team in the 44th season of the championship game, which he had not done all season long, when they made the attack a priority. The quarterback carousel will remain, and the next question is who will start from the quarterback position in two weeks against the Utes?

Will they go back to Lewis or start freshman Kaneal Sweetwyne? You’re about to see the Colorado football quarterback carousel continue to go around and around for the rest of the season. Several games end as a 29-7 Texas Tech loss.
