Liverpool are starting to make their plans for the winter transfer window, and Julian Ward is coming well prepared.
The Reds have been free in the last 18 months, with over 650 million transfer fees committed in the last three windows.

Andoni Iraola’s squad is far from complete, and he looks set to enter the transfer market again this winter to bolster the Spaniard’s squad.
Midfield is an area that most urgently needs addressing, and Alex Scott is known to be one of the top targets for the Reds, but plans are already in place should Liverpool miss out on the Englishman.
Julian Ward’s plan B for Alex Scott
Scott is widely regarded as one of the midfielders in the market right now, but Bournemouth’s valuation of around 100,000 pounds and a strong loan from Chelsea will make things very difficult for the Reds.

Boyd and the recruitment team at Anfield are well aware of this, however, and plans have already been drawn up in case Liverpool fail this winter.
Two stars known as potential alternatives to Scott are apparently Manu Kone of AS Roma and Lamine Camara of AS Monaco.
This is according to a report from TEAMtalk, which claims that Liverpool are doing their due diligence on the pair and are preparing to make a move if they cannot secure the Scotsman’s signature.
Both midfielders have been linked with moves to Merseyside for some time, and it is not surprising to many to see either one coming to Anfield in January.

In the summer, Camara joined Premier League rivals Chelsea, but remained in charge of Monaco and could well be available again in the New Year.
Liverpool’s priority remains to sign the Scot, but they won’t be left high and dry if they can’t land their top target, and Iraola’s squad is increasingly likely to receive the midfield boost they so desperately need.
