Halloween Horror
That the UFC hosted an event on Halloween was pretty badass. The fact that he cut three fights with a knife in the village was a bloody cake.

The first jump scares were made in the fight between Rodrigo Sezinando and Theodor Berggren. Sezinando ended up dissecting Berggren’s pelvis so badly that the doctor stepped in to pull the plug on the operation. The doctor’s second stoppage occurred in a welterweight clash involving Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani and Farman Hasanov. Lebosnoyani turned Hasanov’s face into a horror movie, and the hard-on was eventually removed due to a cut around the eye.
In the end, the co-main event between James Smith and Randy Brown also got messy. Brown’s eye was open, but luckily the “Rude Boy” was able to continue and fought all three rounds.

JPL is the real deal
The UFC welterweight division has some of the fastest rising fighters in the sport and it could be time to add Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani to his list.

In just a few Octagon appearances, the former LFA standout has shown he can do it all. From wrestling wild strikes, the name “JPL” quickly became, he watches 170 pounds. On Saturday, the “American Bandit” will have another chance to prove it deserves a top 15 matchup. Lebosnoyani was going up against a hungry monster in Farman Hasanov, who scored 17 takedowns in his UFC debut earlier this year.
Despite Hasanov’s size and receiving ability, Lebosnoyani was not deterred. Lebosnoyani defended four of the six total takedowns and beat Hasanov 2-1 in the highlights. It was a nearly dominant performance by Lebosnoyani, who eventually ended the fight with a second-round TKO.

Big Dan Spoils Show
Referee Dan Miragliotta completely changed the direction of Saturday’s main event and nobody forgot about it.

Renato Moicano had a lot of success with his fight in the first outing of the UFC Halloween event against Tom Nolan. In fact, “Money” ran minutes behind Nolan in the first round. Moicano returned to the pit in second and was again behind Nolan. Not a ton of damage was done, but Moicano’s opinion spoke for itself. After all, he is a world class submission expert who could end up in any second fight.
A few minutes later and the referee calls Miragliotta to stand. The fight stopped while Moicano had Nolan’s back on the ground. It’s not something that’s seen all that often in MMA and it’s a decision that ultimately cost Moicano the fight, as Nolan scored a TKO to close out the show in the third.
Of course, fans of the fight do not call it lucky. Many have asked why the battle should have stopped if Moicano had regained control, others contending that the final march was some sort of foul play by Miragliota. We trust that Miragliota was working with a clear conscience, but the decision to stop fighting is still a bit disturbing.
