Barcelona have another big week ahead of them, both in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, and they can’t afford to get injured this time around.
The Catalans suffered an unexpected setback last week as they suffered back-to-back defeats against PSG and Real Madrid.

Tonight they returned to pleasant ways, putting six goals past Deportivo Alaves. But it is clear that he needs to step up in the big games, and the opportunity to do that is clear in the coming week when Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid meet.

The first of the two will be Barcelona’s clash against Aston Villa who will take on Spotify at Camp Nou in midweek, and it’s safe to say that the win is non-negotiable.
Before the game, the referees for the night were officially announced by LUDO, and two relatively new faces will be in charge against Aston Villa.

The chief referee on the pitch for the night was designated Italian referee Davide Massa, who is commonly known as the Serie A match official. He visited Barcelona one game ago, which was a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, the VAR official on the night will include Dankert Bastian from Germany – the same one who was behind the scenes for the last UEFA Champions League final and the FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and Spain.
He must win the game

Barcelona went into the UEFA Champions League with two wins in two games, and the victory over Galatasaray at home showed that they are a force to be reckoned with.

Against PSG, they equalized twice and should have drawn home well, but two late goals and a defensive slip saw the champions win by a margin of 4-2.
Barcelona, having already suffered a defeat, cannot afford to go on a downward spiral and lose another straight game, especially given how expensive it is to immediately move up the steps to knock it out.
In their ongoing hectic schedule, they simply can’t afford to carry extra supplies around, and they must get every detail they can. After all, however, a treaty was made at the city of Manchaeum at Easter.
